Hey, everyone. Welcome back to the place we're testing every single mask on Amazon, including the XDX, which is a very weird name for a kid's mask brand. But hey, here we are. Let's put it in the clamper and see what happens. Now, we're doing a little bit different device here, just because the kids' masks are so small. It's hard to get them in to the proper clamper, so I'm adjusting all of my math so that hopefully it will come out correct. Seems to be. Seems to be. You never know. This is a PFE machine, particulate filtration efficiency machine. If you want to find out more about how this works, check out that link. Let's take a look at the listing here. This is a black surgical mask, kids' face mask for boys and girls. That's nice. Non-woven, individually packed, carefree breathing. I would say, "No." The breathability is really high on this.

Not super high but high for kids. So open this up. Is it individually wrapped? Oh, these are... So it's packs of five or something. That's still pretty convenient. So I don't love how... I feel if you do a black mask, you do black on both sides. Why not? I guess you know which side is right. The outer edge of this is super, super thick. It's like a rough type of spun bond. It's put together pretty well, but it is very rough. The inside is nicer, but I'm just thinking for a kid, the black part is going to be super rough. The reason for that is they're making it very thick. You put this... Geez, this is super thick. It's so thick that the nose wire isn't conforming, which for me, that's a structural thing. So that's a no, for my kids at least.

See, I've noticed my kids do that where, all day long, they'll go like this. Look at that. That's terrible. Comes right off your face. Let's do the smell test once again, if I can keep this thing on my face for a minute. I'm going to call this a recently cleaned up oil spill. It's very plasticky heavy. I've definitely had worse, for sure. The United States though, our minimum standard is 95%. That's what this machine's doing. That's the standard I'm going to hold them to today, because hey, they didn't give me a standard. So I'm going to hold them to my own. So what do you think it says? Oh. 79.759. 79.7... That's one of the worst kids' masks we've ever tested, for sure. I would not recommend this mask.

I think I saw it was 149 Pascals. The minimum standard for surgical mask is 150 Pascals in the United States. But for a kid, I want it to be super breathable, and we've had masks that are 50 and 60 Pascal, so that's what I would look for for a kid.
