Hey, everyone. Welcome back to the place where we are testing all of the masks on Amazon. That's right. We are back to Amazon, looking at the KN95s. What's very interesting is, we went to look at this mask that we bought.

Doc is off Instagram. That means that it's been kicked off, but I was able to find another listing for it, which is currently unavailable. So I'm excited to see what this means. Let's open up the box real quick. I like the box. It's not a soft touch. It's actually a very strong box. You can ship this box. It's corrugated. You got the quality certificate and look at that. Wow. Individual packages. Now, I'm going to say that. When I look at this right off the bat, it has just KN95 written on it. And I believe that GB 2626, which is the KN95 standard requires you to actually write GB 2626-2006 on it.

And this one doesn't do that. So typically when I see that is when we start getting masks that are not good quality, although not always the case. This is a little bit different than what we normally do. It's a little bit different setup because we are testing respirators. This is a PFE machine (Particular Filtration Efficiency) machine. If you want to find out how this setup is different, check out that link there, and we'll explain it to you. We're not using the exact same way of sealing the mask that NIOSH uses when they do this test. But the reason for that is, I'm lazy. When we actually test our masks, we use the real setup. You have to use bees wax, but it's a whole thing. The first thing I'll look at here is the airflow. Airflow resistance, 102. That's really good. That's very breathable. We want it to be below 250 typically. And this is obviously way below that. So that's really, really breathable.

I love these are individually packaged and not only you get 60 in a box. I don't know how much I paid for this though. That's pretty good. So it say KN95. Oh, interesting. The ear loop is slightly shorter on that side. I don't love the ear loops. I don't love ear loop style of this, it really pulls and this is not very big. So if you have a big head or a head like mine, it's going to hurt your ears after a while. This is very, very tight, but it is giving you a really good seal. And you need both fit and filtration to get something that works. It's got a great nose wire or a nose piece, so that's great. And it smells like "burning Chinese plastic". That's what it smells like. So I don't know why, but most, I want to say 90% of masks that come from China, have this very distinct Chinese smell. It's not like a dirty smell or anything. It's just, it smells like plastic. It's just a strong odor.

And if you're wearing a mask for eight hours a day, that gets you. Pretty good ear loops. Oh yeah see. See how it's tearing on the bottom. I could tell that... Yeah, if you just pulled a little bit, it's going to tear. But pretty good. It's not going to fall off on your face. It's not the best that I've seen. It's not the worst.

All right. Test is done. I was wrong. That's a great, great test. 99.912%. 99.912%. Great breathability. I don't love this smell, but shoot.
