The mask immediately and effectively relieved my lung discomfort and irritation due to dry air, dehydration and a cold. The mask fit well, but there was not enough cushion between the mask and the face, particularly at the bridge of the nose. I had to place extra padding inside at the nosepiece to prevent it from digging painfully into the bridge of my nose. I hope design work continues on this project as the humidifier action worked very well and it would be helpful during travel, poor air quality days, and other situations that irritate sensitive airways.

Great Possibilities

This mask could have great potential. The fit was perfect for me, but it desperately needs some sort of extra cushioning where it contacts the bridge of the nose. The edge seals of the mask work well but are painful at the bridge. I was able to wear the mask for up to an hour at a time, but not comfortably. I do believe it can be very effective if that issue was resolved. For long term use, I'd like to know the cost of the replacement filters. I have asthma as well as an autoimmune disorder that affects my trachea and sinuses. I use a nebulizer twice a day, but my ENT would prefer that I use it more often. This mask has the potential to provide what I need while allowing me to be mobile, which would be very liberating.
However, if the filters are not inexpensive, it would be useless to me. I do appreciate the creativity and effort that went into this device as well as the opportunity to try it out and offer feedback. I will continue to use it from time to time, but hope that an "add-on" or a change for bridge edging can be developed and provided, and that the replacement filters are not cost prohibitive. Keeping my airways moist does ease my breathing, and this mask seems to help when I am able to use it.
